A Place Rooted in Family History
Casa Kalitero was built on land that has belonged to our family for generations.
Many years ago, our great-grandparents cultivated raisins here, which were once one of Zakynthos’ most important exports. Later, olive trees were planted by our grandfather - many of them still stand on the property today.
Over time, the land evolved together with the island itself. What was once agricultural land slowly became a place where people from around the world now come to rest, reconnect and experience Zakynthos in a more authentic and peaceful way.
Even while building Casa Kalitero, preserving the natural character of the land was always important to us. The old olive trees remain part of the landscape and every suite was designed to blend naturally into its surroundings.
